Sine waves
Depending on what sort of guitar you are tuning, you will probably get the best results from using the sine wave preset, as it allows you to hear out of tune "beating" more easily. Please keep in mind that the sine waves have been recorded for playback on hifi speakers or studio monitors and may distort if played on smaller speakers - if you are using Alternate Tuner on a laptop, or with small desktop speakers, then we suggest using the piano preset.
